In order to strengthen measures to prevent deaths and injuries from fires in everyday life, from November 24, 2025 to December 14, 2025, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is conducting an information campaign among the population on the effectiveness of autonomous fire detectors (API), the need for their installation and timely maintenance.

Statistics show that the API is one of the most effective means of early detection of fires. Last year alone, thanks to their operation, 93 people's lives were saved, including 21 children, and since the beginning of their mass implementation in 2002, more than 2,870 people have been saved. The device is able to detect smoke at an early stage and give a powerful sound signal that can wake up a sleeping person, which is crucial for timely evacuation. Install fire detectors!⁠
