National Unity Day embodies the patriotism and civic responsibility of Belarusians, respect for history, spiritual and moral values of our society. This is a direct reference to the historical milestone of the unification of the Belarusian lands in 1939. But the modern context is no less significant: in order to defend the right to continue developing as an independent state, society must be united in the face of external threats.
